Ukrainian paratroopers say they are maintaining positions in the center of Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, while conducting targeted operations against Russian forces. Heavy small-arms fighting continues, and Russian troops have so far failed to secure any foothold in the city.
Pokrovsk has seen some of the heaviest frontline fighting for months, as Russian forces repeatedly try to push into the city and cut Ukrainian supply routes. Ukrainian defenders, including specialized assault and drone units, are focused on keeping Russian troops from consolidating while carrying out targeted strikes to reduce their combat strength. Operations here reflect a broader effort to hold key towns and maintain control over critical transport and supply lines in eastern Ukraine.
"Skala" regiment clears railway station and central areas
The 7th Rapid Response Corps of Ukraine’s Air Assault Forces reported that specialized assault units, including the 425th “Skala” Regiment, recently cleared Russian presence around the railway station, the local pedagogical college, and Sobornyi Park.
These actions blocked Russian attempts to regroup and reinforce their northern positions. Any movement across the railway line to the north is met with heavy losses.
City not encircled as clearing operations continue
Since the start of November, Ukrainian forces say they have killed 388 Russian troops in Pokrovsk, with 87 more wounded.
The Pokrovsk direction remains one of the most contested sections of the front, with Russian troops repeatedly attempting to infiltrate residential areas and disrupt supply lines.
Ukrainian commanders emphasize that the city is not encircled, and operations are focused on clearing Russian forces from populated areas while holding key defensive positions.
