Russian forces struck areas near Dnipro on 2 November, resulting in infrastructure damage and leaving eight people wounded, including two children, Dnipropetrovsk Governor Serhiy Lysak said.
Lysak said that the Russian attack damaged infrastructure without specifying the exact location of the explosions.
According to the governor, a Russian attack injured eight people, including two children. An 8-year-old girl sustained shrapnel wounds to her face, while a 15-year-old boy suffered injuries to both shins. They are in stable condition.
An 83-year-old woman is also in the hospital in serious condition with a leg injury.
The strike follows a pattern of Russian attacks on Dnipro, which serves as a crucial logistics and humanitarian center located 395 kilometers from Kyiv.
Russian forces launched a ballistic missile at the city on 1 November, damaging the campus of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, according to Lysak.
A Russian strike targeted the Mechnikov Hospital on 26 October, a key medical facility treating war casualties. The subsequent search and rescue operation, which concluded on 26 October, confirmed five fatalities, regional authorities reported.
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, particularly Nikopol, has experienced consistent Russian artillery and missile attacks since 2022, targeting critical infrastructure and disrupting essential services, according to local officials.
