Satellite imagery has emerged confirming Ukraine's October 9 successful strike on Russia's Shahed explosive drone storage facility near Yeysk in Krasnodar Krai, southern Russia. The Planet Lab's images, published by RFE/RL's Skhemy project, provide the first visual evidence of the attack's aftermath.
The satellite photo, taken on 11 October, clearly show damage to warehouse buildings at the targeted site. Notable in the imagery is the destruction of one building's roof and visible traces of fire, indicating a significant impact from the Ukrainian operation.

Earlier, military sources claimed that the facility housed approximately 400 attack drones. Precise hits on the target reportedly caused fires and secondary detonations at the site.
The strike on the Shahed storage facility is part of a series of recent Ukrainian attacks on Russian military infrastructure. On 9 October, Ukrainian defense forces also hit a Russian military ammunition depot in Bryansk Oblast. The following night, on 10 October, they struck the Khanskaya air base in Adygea, targeting an ammunition depot located on the military facility's grounds.
