Ukrainian forces have successfully struck a Russian S-400 air defense system’s radar in Russia’s Belgorod Oblast using a kamikaze drone, Militarnyi reported.
The Come Back Alive Foundation, which supports the Ukrainian military, released a video showing the attack on the Russia radar. According to the Foundation, operators from the Flight Club 92nd unit of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade tracked down a 96L6 radar that was accompanying the Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile system.
The Russian radar was spotted near a small tree line between fields. The exact date of the operation was not specified.
After determining the coordinates of the enemy radar’s location, a Ukrainian kamikaze drone was deployed to destroy it. The fixed-wing drone strike successfully disabled the radar station, effectively “blinding” the enemy’s air defense in this area, until a replacement arrives.

The Come Back Alive Foundation noted that Ukrainian defenders detected the Russian 96L6 radar and guided the kamikaze drone to it using a Shark reconnaissance drone.
