The Czech company AKM Group-CZ, which supplies arms to NATO countries, has opened its own office in Kyiv, representatives of the company told Militarnyi.
Over the next year, the company plans to increase its integration into the Ukrainian market to supply weapons and ammunition to Ukraine’s Defense Forces. The company is expected to launch and localize joint production in Ukraine for arms, ammunition, and unmanned aerial vehicles in cooperation with both state and private partners.
Azer Khudiev, head of the Eastern Europe Office, said plans also include establishing joint production facilities and cooperating in testing new weapons and ammunition, including air defense systems, large-caliber machine guns, drones, and more.
The AKM Group-CZ office in Ukraine was registered on 27 August. It has become the company’s fourth global department.
The Czech company specializes in selling and supplying various types of weapons. To ensure reliable operations, it owns its logistics facilities and a network of warehouses in central Europe.
The AKM Group-CZ holds exclusive contracts for selling military and dual-use goods from renowned global manufacturers. It offers over 110 types of products, including barrel and anti-aircraft artillery, firearms, armored vehicles, and ammunition.
The company has already cooperated with Ukraine’s Defense Forces. Additionally, it has experience working with 27 countries and is certified as a NATO supplier with the NATO code NCAGE: 334DG.
According to the company’s website, the AKM Group-CZ is actively developing its logistics infrastructure and working on establishing joint production of dual-use goods, weapons, and ammunition.
Additionally, the AKM Group-CZ invests in startups developing new types of weapons. The company has experience investing in producing large-caliber machine guns, automatic grenade launchers, drones, and explosive ordnance refueling lines.
