The Office of the Prosecutor General (OPG) of Ukraine has reported a devastating toll on children due to the ongoing Russian aggression. As of the morning of March 28, 2024, juvenile prosecutors have confirmed the death of 537 children, with over 1,269 others sustaining injuries of varying severity. The total number of affected children has exceeded 1,806. The OPG emphasized that these figures are not final, as efforts continue to establish the exact numbers in areas of active combat, as well as in temporarily occupied and recently liberated territories. The highest number of child casualties has been recorded in Donetsk (524), Kharkiv (343), Kherson (149), Kyiv (130), Dnipropetrovsk (125), Mykolayiv (103), and Zaporizhzhia (100) oblasts. Tragically, a 12-year-old boy lost his life in a recent Russian strike on the village of Borova in the Izium district of Kharkiv region. Additionally, on March 27, four children aged between three months and thirteen years were injured in a hostile bombardment of Kharkiv. Related:
