The Russian military attacked four oblasts, killing 20 civilians and injuring 75 others, local authorities reported on 16 March.
In its deadly attack on Odesa, the Russian military killed 20 people, including one medical personnel and one rescuer of the State Emergency Service, and injured 75 others, Governor Oleh Kiper said.
Russia carried out a double missile strike on Odesa on 15 March, targeting the same area two times, which resulted in multiple injuries and deaths. Local authorities declared a day of mourning in Odesa and the oblast on 16 March.
Russian troops also injured one person in Krasnohorivka, Donetsk oblast, over the past day, Governor Vadym Filashkin said.
Russain military shelled 20 settlements in Kharkiv Oblast over the past day, Governor Oleh Syniehubov said. One of the attacks injured two men aged 48 and 35 in the village of Okhrimivka, Chuhuiv district.
Russian troops also attacked Zolochiv village of Bohodukhiv district in the oblast with an Iskander-M ballistic missile, damaging 16 houses, a hospital building, a dormitory building, four ambulances, and four cars.
Ukraine’s Air Forces destroyed two Russian drones overnight on 16 March over Kharkiv Oblast. Syniehobov reported on no casulaties due to the night drone attack.
In Kherson Oblast, Russia injured two people, according to Governor Oleksandr Produkin. In its attack on the city of Kherson and the oblast, Russia also damaged 16 residential buildings, cars, an educational institution, a garage, and a car.
Over the past day, Russian troops also attacked Sumy Oblast. There were no casualties reported.
