On 6 January, Russians killed 12 residents of Donetsk Oblast and injured 10 more, according to the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration.
Russian missile attack on Donetsk’s Pokrovsk district kills 11, including five children
“The final outcome of yesterday’s strikes on the Pokrovsk district will be determined later. According to preliminary estimates, 11 people were killed and 10 injured in Pokrovsk and Rivne,” oblast chief Vadym Filashkin said on Ukrainian TV.
According to the Donetsk Oblast Administration’s January 7 morning bulletin, yesterday evening’s Russian massive missile attack on Pokrovsk district killed five people in the town of Pokrovsk, including two children, and injured six more civilians. The missile assault damaged 134 detached homes and 15 multi-storey buildings in the town.
Six more civilians including three children were killed and two more locals were injured in Rivne, Myrnohrad community, the authorities said. The attack damaged 80 homes, a paramedic and obstetric center, and an administrative building.
As per the Administration, Russia dropped two aerial guided bombs on Pivnichne, Toretsk community, killing another civilian and injuring one more.
Zhelanne in Ocheretyne community saw a Russian shelling attack that injured one more local, the Administration reported.
Other Russian attacks occurred in the communities of Kurakhove, Lyman, and in the towns of New York and Siversk of Toretsk community. These caused damage to civilian infrastructure but did not hurt anyone, according to the oblast authorities.
The entire Donetsk oblast has been split in half by the frontline with multiple settlements that lie in the war zone suffering from daily Russian artillery and aerial attacks.
