On December 20th, the Lithuanian Armed Forces delivered another batch of essential military assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including field service equipment and tens of thousands of dry rations, according to Lithuania’s Defense Ministry.

“We continue to do our utmost to ease Ukraine’s difficult struggle against a brutal aggressor. A variety of field equipment is particularly needed for the troops in the winter season. Each of our support packages is an additional step towards victory,” said Lithuania’s Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas

Last week, Lithuania also transferred several million rounds of ammunition and several thousand rounds of ammunition for portable short-range anti-tank grenade launchers to Ukraine.

In addition to the ongoing transfer of military equipment and hardware, Lithuania is also actively training Ukrainian soldiers, providing medical treatment and rehabilitation, expert advice, and contributing to international funds for Ukraine.

In 2023, Lithuanian trainers completed a training cycle for 2,900 Ukrainian soldiers, including joint courses with the UK, Germany, and Nordic countries, focusing on weapon operation, leadership, and specialties, according to the Lithuanian Armed Forces.
