General Staff: Ukraine repels 16 Russian attacks near Bakhmut and 14 near Avdiivka

In the last 24 hours, there were 56 battles between Ukrainian defenders and invading Russian forces along the frontline.

General Staff: Ukraine repels 16 Russian attacks near Bakhmut and 14 near Avdiivka

In the last 24 hours, Ukrainian aviation conducted 8 strikes on Russian military personnel, weaponry, and equipment. Additional two strikes targeted anti-aircraft missile systems and two targeted Russian ammunition depots, as reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its daily evening summary.

Ukrainian rocket forces also successfully targeted a Russian heavy multiple rocket launcher system and the Pantsir surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery system.

Meanwhile, Russian forces launched one rocket and 31 aerial attacks, conducted shelling with multiple rocket launcher systems on Ukrainian troop positions, and shelled dozens of residential areas in various regions. There are casualties and injuries among the Ukrainian civilian population, with damages and destruction to residential buildings and civilian infrastructure.

In the Kupiansk sector, which covers Kharkiv and Luhansk oblasts in eastern Ukraine, Russians conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinity of Synkivka in Kharkiv Oblast. Ukrainian troops repelled 7 attacks there. 

In the Lyman sector (Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts), Russian forces with air support unsuccessfully assaulted Serebryansky forest, seen as a gateway to the city of Lyman, which Ukraine liberated last year. Ukrainian troops repelled three attacks there. 

In the Bakhmut sector (Donetsk Oblast), Russian troops conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support in the vicinities Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in Donetsk Oblast. Ukrainian forces repelled 16 attacks there. 

In the Avdiivka sector (Donetsk Oblast), Russians conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support in the vicinities of Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne and Pervomaiske in Donetsk Oblast. Ukrainian troops repelled 14 attacks there.

In the Mariinka sector (Donetsk Oblast), Russian forces conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support near Mariinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast. Ukrainian troops repelled 5 attacks there. 

In the Shakhtarsk sector, which covers parts of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts, the Russian military conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Staromaiorske in Donetsk Oblast. 

In the Zaporizhzhia sector, Russian forces attempted to regain lost positions near Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast three times without success. Additionally, they conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Novopokrovka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In the Kherson sector (southern Ukraine), the Russian Air Force carried out airstrikes near Krynky in Kherson Oblast. Ukrainian forces continue to hold positions on the east bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Oblast, as emphasized by the General Staff.
