The Ukrainian Air Forces thwarted an attack by 11 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the "Shahed" type, launched from the Chauda Peninsula in Crimea, along with a guided aviation missile X-59 from the airspace of the Russia-occupied Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
According to official sources from the Ukrainian Air Forces, Russia's attempt to breach Ukrainian airspace was effectively countered by the country's air defense units. Ten of the attacking Shahed-136/131 UAVs were neutralized within the borders of Odesa Oblast, along with the interception of a single guided aviation missile X-59 over Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
The operation triggered air raid alerts in various regions of Ukraine, including Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia, where the population was advised to take necessary precautions. Additionally, alerts were raised in Mykolayiv and Kherson Oblasts.
