Joshua Mayers, 34, the Canadian paramedic, was killed while helping Ukraine in treating soldiers wounded at the battlefield, his family said, according to The Canadian Press.
Currently, relatives of the paramedic are unsure if or when they will be able to bring his body back to Canada but are planning a celebration of life next week in Edmonton.
