Russia mined Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant’s cooling system – Budanov
Russian forces have mined the cooling system of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. This was announced by Chief of Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence Kyrylo Budanov, during the national telethon, Liga reports. According to him, today, there is a "certain threat" to the Zaporizhzhia NPP. He noted that the power plant remains under Russian control, and the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant disrupted water access to the nuclear facility's cooling pond.
"But what's worse is that during this time, the NPP and the coolant itself were additionally mined. If they blow it up and disable it, there will be, let's face it, a high probability that there will be significant problems," Budanov said.
