According to activists, the [permit] application has been submitted for a procession to be held on August 5, 2014 at 8-11pm from Pushkinskaya Metro boulevard to Turgenev Square. A lot of people are expected to come.
The Maidan Solidarity Committee was founded in late 2013 as a sign of solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
At the same time, on August 2 a “concert/rally in support of Donetsk Rus” will be held in Moscow, planned by 19 organizations. A similar event held on June 11, “Standing for Donbas”, was attended by only a few hundred Moscow residents despite extensive media coverage.
