Ukraine solidarity march to be held in Moscow on August 5

Russian activists of the Maidan Solidarity Committee organization announced a march in support of Ukraine, to be held on August 5, writes Russkiy Monitor

. According to activists, the [permit] application has been submitted for a procession to be held on August 5, 2014 at 8-11pm from Pushkinskaya Metro boulevard to Turgenev Square. A lot of people are expected to come.

The Maidan Solidarity Committee was founded in late 2013 as a sign of solidarity with the people of Ukraine.

At the same time, on August 2 a "concert/rally in support of Donetsk Rus" will be held in Moscow, planned by 19 organizations. A similar event held on June 11,  "Standing for Donbas",  was attended by only a few hundred Moscow residents despite extensive media coverage.
