In particular, the press officer noted that this petition might be “a fake.” “In order to let them go we should check whether it is not a fake, we have to make sure that they want to leave and not conduct sabotage for them to escape,” he noted.

On their part, the PRD denied the law enforcement’s information regarding the rebel’s intent to leave the siege.
