Donbas Battalion delivers ultimatum to Poroshenko

The Donbas Battalion declares: “Should a single city be surrendered, the president will fly off his chair, there will be a military coup and the soldiers will take power into their own hands.”

In an interview with channel TVi, the commander of the Donbas Battalion, Taras Konstanchuk, stated that if the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, surrenders a single kilometer of Ukrainian land in negotiations with the “DNR” and “LNR”, he can expect a military coup and the central government will be seized by soldiers.

He added that every time the soldiers feel that the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada are adopting incorrect or useless laws, they will come and set fire to tyres before the parliament building.

“Until we start controlling what they actually do, nothing will make sense. We should come into the building and say: “What kind of laws are you adopting, you lazy bums? There’s only one way you’ll leave here, and that’s feet first.”- said Konstanchuk.

On Tuesday, October 4, the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, repealed the law on the special status of Donbas.

There is no other way since Poroshenko is taking the road of inactivity. So many deals and now Russian force is clearly in control of the east.

You fail to realize Putin could have taken all of the SouthEast by now but hasn’t. He only has a few key areas of Donbass & not all of his “New Rossiya”.

Even Putin is no fool. A full-scale blitzkrieg would certainly bring NATO wrath upon him. So he is testing the limits, constantly. Taking bits of the cake. He has time, and alert in the rest of the world is about to fall asleep again when there are pauses in between the biting, long enough. See what I mean?
But we will kick his ass anyway, on the long range.

I see that you know where Prague is! In any case , The President has to be given time to work things out. As one who is from outside Ukraine but fully supports Ukraine here on the ground, I say NO MORE violence in Kiev and against the elected government but take that fight and energy back against those who want to overtake us here in Mariupol!

And divided Ukraine will fall.. now is not time for civil war.. the enemy is in the east

If Poroshenko has a plan to change the status quo, he has not shared it with the Ukrainian people…..a successful president must be a successful communicator. I like the prime minister…he speaks clearly about the situation….they should get together and speak to the nation….not react to threats of a coup….

That would play right into Putin’s hands, where there is nothing more that he would like, than to invade Kiev with a ‘peace keeping’ force to ‘restore order’ and at the same time make Ukraine a satellite of Russia!

All the people of Ukraine need to understand, a united Ukraine will stand firm, a divided Ukraine will fall.

All the people must resist Putin’s propaganda, otherwise the seeds of discontent he plants and the persuaded ‘useful fools’ will make it a simple divide and conquer operation for him. I can’t see the Ukrainian people forgiving those that form such a 5th column and lose all of Ukraine to Russia.

The German speaking area in Belgium is a ‘Special Status Area’, works fine and nothing wrong with that. [Google it!] However, giving in to the demands of the terrorist (they are NOT freedom fighters, not even rebels) whatever those demands may be, is acknowledging the status of those maffiosi, only out there to destruct and nothing to build. Brainwashing the pensioners of the ‘CCCP era’, promising a false future for the unemployed -whom, by the way are mostly unemployed thanks to those same terrorists- , is not a very solid base to ask for independence from Kyiv. The ‘Verkhovna Rada’ is far from the battle field and most of its members should take a look ‘down there’, like the Prime Minister did, BEFORE conducting new laws and rules. Those same members should rely on the information delivered by the troops (their commanders) who are actually confronted with the situation in Donbas. It’s easy and comfortable taking decisions from behind an office desk. Poroshenko, please find better advisors!

Don’t start quarreling within your family when the robbers from outside have started to sack your house! – First rule must be: keep the unity!

    • Pazorec

So true!!! Time to stick together and show unity in the ranks!

If such a scenario Ukraine’s EU visions will “fly off the chair” too, that’s for sure.

  • Evelyn Myketa Livingston

Ukraine does not need such a fool making destructive threats! He makes putin very happy.

    • Pazorec

      Agreed and 100%

Instigation after instigation will be there. Do not fall into the trap. Ukraine must remain united.

  • gmab

Volunteer Battalion vs. President of Ukraine backed by EU, US, G7 etc. Who will win? If the leader of this Battalion can’t face the reality & the heat in the kitchen & wants war, then it’s time for him to go back home & retire or join the rebels in the east. Stick together even if you don’t get your way- many Ukrainians do not agree with your threats.

    • W8post

You either did not understand the article or you’re an effing troll!

  • Pazorec

Support for Ukraine would be lost from so many of us who are here risking our lives to volunteer. If Poroshenko is threatened again by the volunteers and violence comes about then I would leave Ukraine and stop all outside support efforts for it. You must give The President time to work out such a difficult and twisted situation like the one before him! I know about the bloodshed and the lives lost out here because that is where I volunteer!

Not unexpected at all, this is the reason why Kolomoisky invested in them, to usurp power.
