The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), together with the State Service for Special Communication of Ukraine, ensures the uninterrupted functioning of Central Electoral Committee information systems, reports the SBU.
“Joint SBU, CEC and Special Communication Service groups have conducted verification of the work of regional segments of Vybory (‘Elections’) system. The physical security of the central server and its regional components has been ensured,” says the statement.
“Any claims that so-called successful illicit intervention in the CEC cyberspace or elements of Vybory system had occurred have nothing to do with reality. No hackers have control over anything,” said advisor to the head of the SBU Markiyan Lubkivsky.
“The SBU responsibly states that the secure election process will be ensured,” Lubkivsky added.
Earlier the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security of Ukraine stated that everything is all right with CEC servers, accordingly negating the claims made by online group CyberBerkut that its members had broken the vote count system on the CEC website and blocked its work.
