Poroshenko family donates nearly $160k to army

Poroshenko family



The family of President Poroshenko provided assistance in the sum of roughly $158,200 (1,851,538 hryvni) to the army. This information was in a memorandum obtained by Vinnitsia News from the management of the Confectionery Corporation Roshen.

In particular, the memo referred to four military units. Specifically, the president’s family purchased 257 bullet-proof vest, 97 helmets, 97 radio transmitters/walkie-talkies and 8 night-vision devices.

    He’s a billionaire I would think he could contribute at least a couple of million. All the oligarchs that are pro-ukrainian need to put their money where there mouth is and each contribute at least 10 million if you’re a billionaire that’s chicken feed to them.

      True, especially given that his campaign cost millions. This is his family though, it would be interesting to see how much of his personal account has gone in, as Kolomoisky has as well. Being billionaires, both should be investing much more in the future of their country, especially when facing an existential threat.

        I too hope that Poroshenko invests a large amount of his fortune into supporting and rebuilding Ukraine. Not just in military related matters but also for rebuilding and improving infrastructure etc.
