Serhiy Zhadan

Serhiy Zhadan is a Ukrainian poet, novelist, translator, and musician from Kharkiv, known internationally for his war writing and award-winning fiction, including “The Orphanage.” He has supported front-line communities and, in 2024, joined Ukraine’s Khartia Brigade as a junior sergeant. He is also the creative director and an on-air host at Radio Khartia.
