Energy workers are working to eliminate the consequences, according to the company.

Overnight attack

Russian forces launched strike drones against Odesa overnight, with explosions reported around 02:19 following at least five impacts, according to Odesa Military Administration head Serhiy Lysak. Air Force command had warned an hour earlier that strike drones were approaching the city from the sea.

A four-story building lost apartments from the second to fourth floors, and a fire broke out on the fourth and fifth floors of a nine-story building after a direct hit.

Emergency services evacuated residents, including a child, from damaged buildings. "Part of a residential building in Khadzhybeiskyi district was destroyed. People may be under the rubble, search and rescue operations are ongoing," Lysak added. The attack also damaged a kindergarten and a church building in the city center.

The strike injured 23 people, according to the Odesa Military Administration. Fourteen sustained minor injuries and received medical assistance on site. Windows in neighboring buildings were blown out and vehicles were damaged.
