German defense manufacturer Rheinmetall announced that Ukraine will receive its first Lynx KF41 combat vehicles in early 2026, according to the company's statement.

The contract was signed in December 2025. While Rheinmetall did not disclose the exact amount, the company noted it is "in the double-digit millions of euros."

Ukraine selected the Lynx KF41 following comprehensive testing of the next-generation combat vehicle. The machines will be equipped with a two-person Lance turret and configured to meet the country's specific requirements.

Plans include purchasing additional batches with production eventually moving to Ukraine.

"We are grateful for the trust that Ukraine places in us. We also thank the German government for its support. This order is a fundamental success that underscores our ongoing efforts to support Ukraine," said Armin Papperger, CEO of Rheinmetall AG.

The Lynx KF41 series was developed to meet current and future operational requirements.

In October 2025, Rheinmetall announced the transfer of additional Skyranger 35 air defense systems to Ukraine, funded by frozen Russian assets. In December, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced plans to provide Ukraine with Sidewinder missiles to strengthen air defenses.
