Ukrainian marines launched a series of search-and-strike actions in Ivanivka, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, as part of a clearing operation targeting Russian forces. The 37th Marine Brigade reported killing 53 Russian soldiers and capturing 19 more during the operation. The sweep took place within the area of responsibility of Ukraine’s 20th Army Corps.

Amid the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war, Moscow’s troops have been trying to capture the remainder of Donetsk Oblast. In recent months, they have also advanced into southeastern areas of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, adjacent to Donetsk Oblast.

Ivanivka cleared of Russian troops in marine-led sweep

The 37th Separate Marine Brigade of Ukraine’s 30th Marine Corps reported conducting a series of search-and-strike actions in the designated operational zone. As a result, 53 Russian military personnel were killed, and another 19 were captured. The brigade stated that every occupier who sets foot on Ukrainian soil will face inevitable consequences. All the captured Russian soldiers were identified as members of the 228th Assault Regiment of the 90th Tank Division.

Militarnyi said on 30 November that the marines cleared the village of Ivanivka in the Mezhova community, Synelnykove Raion, along with the southern outskirts of the settlement. The report said Ukrainian forces eliminated remaining Russian elements still present in that part of the frontline.

The Brigade emphasized that this operation again confirmed that the presence of Russian forces in Ukraine consistently ends in losses and accountability for the occupiers.
