Russian aerial bombs and drones killed at least seven civilians and injured over 25 across Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv oblasts on 24-25 February, as Russia launched 115 attack drones overnight. Rescuers were still searching for up to four people under rubble in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast as of the morning of 25 February. The attacks also triggered new power outages in four oblasts.
First Deputy Energy Minister Artem Nekrasov said scheduled hourly power cuts were in effect across most oblasts, with emergency blackouts in some. Strikes on energy infrastructure caused new outages in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Kharkiv oblasts, Suspilne reported.
Aerial bombs kill four in Zaporizhzhia district, child injured
Russian air strikes hit a village in Zaporizhzhia district around 10 p.m. on 24 February, the State Emergency Service (DSNS) reported. At one address, a bomb destroyed a residential home. Rescuers recovered three bodies from the rubble. At another address, a two-story house sustained damage, and DSNS crews extracted one more body. A child was injured. The blast wave and debris damaged surrounding buildings.
Two killed, seven injured in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast — four possibly still under rubble
Russian aerial bombs struck Pokrovska hromada in Synelnykivskyi district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, killing two people and wounding five, head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration (OVA) Oleksandr Hanzha reported. The wounded — men aged 71, 69, 59, and 47, and a 21-year-old woman — were all hospitalized in moderate condition. Earlier, Hanzha reported a man hospitalized after strikes on Malomykhailivska and Pokrovska hromadas. A school and a home caught fire, 15 detached houses sustained damage, and a three-story residential building was hit — with people possibly trapped inside.
The regional prosecutor's office said the total number of injured rose to seven as of the morning of 25 February. Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast council Mykola Lukashuk said search operations at the strike site continued as of 7:30 a.m., with up to four people possibly still under the rubble. DSNS reported crews were dismantling the damaged structure.
One killed, 17 injured in Kharkiv Oblast
The Russians killed a 51-year-old man and injured 17 people across Kharkiv city and 13 settlements in Kharkiv Oblast over the past day, head of Kharkiv OVA Oleh Syniehubov reported. Russian forces used Tornado-S MLRS rockets, three glide bombs, Shahed-136, Lancet, Molniya, and FPV drones.
Mykolaiv hit by Shaheds and FPV drones
Russian forces attacked critical and transport infrastructure in Mykolaiv Oblast with Shahed drones overnight and in the early hours of 25 February, Mykolaiv OVA reported. Russian troops also hit Ochakiv hromada twice with FPV drones, Suspilne Mykolaiv reported.
115 drones launched, 95 shot down, power out in four oblasts
Ukraine's Air Force reported that from 6:30 p.m. on 24 February, Russia launched 115 attack drones — Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types. About 60 were Shaheds. Air defense shot down or suppressed 95 drones across the north, south, and east of the country. 18 drones struck 11 locations. Several drones remained in the air as of the morning report.
