Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha opened the Ukrainian House at the Munich Security Conference (MSC), alongside German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, according to Suspilne.
The opening featured the presentation of the exhibition "Ukraine: On the Frontline of the Future."
Sybiha said having a Ukrainian House alongside the American and German houses reflects "Ukraine's decisive role in collective security."
"Today's event demonstrates that Ukraine is a priority at this year's conference. We are living in a new era. Outsourcing security for Europe is over. The time has come to build internal strength. And this is only possible with Ukraine as an integral part of the new European security architecture," he stated.
The minister revealed this year's slogan for the Ukrainian House is "Under Destruction."
"For us in Ukraine, this is not a metaphor. This is a daily experience — cities, houses, hospitals, schools under Russian terror. Under missiles. Under 'Shaheds' — the same weapons you can see here. But the Ukrainian House is not here to show what Russia is destroying. It is here to show what Ukraine is building: defense, innovation, resilience — solutions that make Europe stronger. We have learned our hard lessons. And we are ready to share them," Sybiha said.
Over the next two days, the Ukrainian House will serve as a venue for discussions about Ukraine and broader European issues, the minister noted.
"The time when Europe relied on external forces is over. We have enough of our own strength. We only need to acknowledge this — and Ukraine is a key source of this true European strength. I want this Ukrainian House to become a 'Point of Invincibility' for MSC. A place of information where you can find your true internal strength. Today, Ukraine is Europe's point of invincibility — its main center of resilience," Sybiha said.
He added that the Ukrainian House also honors the memory of fallen Ukrainian heroes. Sybiha noted that skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych had been scheduled to participate in the conference.
Meeting with German counterpart
Sybiha also held a separate meeting with Wadephul on the first day of the 62nd Munich Security Conference, according to a post on his X account.
"We talked about peace efforts, steps to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and resilience, as well as increasing pressure on Moscow," Sybiha wrote.
He thanked Germany for its support of Ukraine and European security, noting that Germany's defense assistance to Ukraine reached a record 11.5 billion euros this year, while winter energy aid packages totaled 75 million euros.
"We are grateful to Germany for its unwavering solidarity," the minister stated.
The two officials discussed the calendar of bilateral contacts and ways to expand Ukrainian-German partnership and cooperation. They also addressed Ukraine's progress toward EU membership as "an element of security guarantees for our country and all of Europe," Sybiha noted.
The Ukrainian House was organized by the Munich Security Conference in partnership with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, the Office of the President of Ukraine, and the Defense Industries Council of Ukraine. It will remain open throughout MSC, 13-14 February 2026.
