Kyiv has received the first batch of humanitarian aid from Slovakia, including 16 generators of various capacities and 2 charging station sets with 8 kW capacity each, valued at 166,000 euros ($174,000 total) total, Kyiv city mayor Vitalii Klitchko said.

The three most powerful generators—225 kW, 100 kW, and 63 kW—will be transferred to schools in different districts of the capital, according to the announcement.

The delivery is part of the large-scale "Warmth for Ukraine" fundraising campaign, launched in the second half of January. The initiative was organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Slovak Republic in cooperation with Slovakia's largest fundraising platform Donio and 10 leading Slovak public organizations.

The campaign has collected nearly 1,100,000 euros ($1,150,000) from more than 19,500 donors. "These are funds to help Ukrainian communities," the statement notes. Slovak partners are purchasing and delivering generators and charging stations with the collected money.

The "Warmth for Ukraine" campaign became possible "thanks to the solidarity of citizens of the Slovak Republic and the joint work of partner organizations," according to the announcement.

Partner organizations include Donio, Človek v ohrození, Mier Ukrajine, Nadácia Integra, PostBellum SK, Nadácia Pontis, Ambrela, All4Ukraine, Nadácia otvorenej spoločnosti, Srdcom s Ukrajinou, and ADRA.
