Want to tell Ukraine's story to the world? We're looking for a journalist who gets it.
Euromaidan Press is an independent English-language outlet that fights Russian disinformation and brings the truth about Ukraine to global audiences. We value real impact over the appearance of busyness—if you care about meaningful work, keep reading.
We need a journalist who can spot the stories that matter, write them sharp and fast, and get them in front of the right people. You'll be covering news on our website and social media for a curious international audience that actually wants to understand what's happening.
What you'll actually do:
- Find and deliver the most relevant, interesting news about Ukraine to global readers
- Write and edit content that's clear, accurate, and worth reading
- Run our social media—not just post, but engage and grow our reach
- Separate signal from noise in a fast-moving information environment
- Fact-check everything as second nature
You'll fit if you:
- Speak excellent English (C1+) and Ukrainian
- Have journalism experience and know how to talk to international audiences
- Actually understand what's happening in and around Ukraine—politically, militarily, in the media
- Can write and edit quickly without sacrificing quality
- Fact-check and think critically as a reflex, not an afterthought
- Have a good memory and genuine curiosity about the world
- Know your way around social media (SEO knowledge is a bonus)
What we offer:
- Remote work, flexible schedule
- Competitive salary
- Corporate training and growth opportunities
- A friendly team that genuinely cares about what we do
- Creative freedom and real editorial independence
- A chance to defend Ukraine with the pen—no less important than with the sword
As we grow, you'll have opportunities to take on other formats beyond news. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of the team long-term, not just passing through.
How to apply:
- Send your CV, a motivation letter, and examples of your work to euromaidanpress (a) gmail.com
- Subject line: "Journalist application"
