President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Russia launched over 450 strike drones and 30 missiles of various types overnight into 13 December, with the main strike directed at energy infrastructure in southern Ukraine and the Odesa Oblast.

Thousands of people are without power in Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv oblasts, according to Zelenskyy's social media post. Russians also attacked Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkasy oblasts.

"It's important that everyone now sees what Russia is doing. Every step they take in terror against our people, all the attacks, because this is definitely not about ending the war," Zelenskyy stated. "They still want to destroy our state, to cause as much pain as possible to our people."

The president emphasized the need for international support: "That is why we need support in everything that will help protect lives and end this war: strengthening air defense and our soldiers at the front, strengthening our long-range capabilities and strengthening pressure on Russia."

Zelenskyy added: "For all our diplomatic efforts to have results, we need to put pressure on the aggressor so they end the war they started."

Odesa was under massive combined Russian attack overnight into 13 December, with local residents reporting power outages across most of the city.
