The Druzhba oil pipeline has exploded again in Russia. It was remotely detonated, according to sources.
The Druzhba oil pipeline has been attacked on Russian territory, hromadske reported, citing its sources in Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate.
According to the source, the attack took place near the settlement of Kazynski Vyselky on the Taganrog-Lipetsk section of the pipeline. Explosives with remote detonation and additional combustible mixtures were used to destroy the pipeline section and achieve greater burning, the intelligence source said.
The source in military intelligence stated that Russia's oil network, as the main source of income for the aggressor state and funding for its military-industrial complex, will continue to explode and burn until the enemy stops its attempts to attack Ukraine.
Previous strikes on Druzhba
On 13 August, Hungary accused Ukraine of a drone attack on a distribution station of the Druzhba pipeline in Russia's Bryansk region. A hromadske source in intelligence confirmed this strike. According to the source, a fire broke out at the facility, which is involved in supplying Russia's military-industrial complex.
On 18 August, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó claimed that Ukraine had allegedly attacked the pipeline again. Oil supplies to Hungary were restored only a day later.
On 22 August, Hungary announced a third Ukrainian attack on Druzhba, which once again halted oil supplies from Russia.
Hungary, together with Slovakia, appealed to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas and Energy Commissioner Dan Jørgensen with a request to take measures regarding Ukraine.
