President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has ordered Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal to revise Ukraine's defense plan documents, according to the president's announcement.
"The course of combat operations has demonstrated what should become renewed priorities," Zelenskyy said.
The president said Shmyhal will prepare detailed proposals for the changes and present them to the Cabinet of Ministers for approval.
During a meeting, officials also discussed protection of critical infrastructure. Zelenskyy emphasized that the government and Defense Ministry must fully provide necessary financing for drone procurement for combat brigades.
On 28 November, authorities funded another monthly subsidy tranche for combat brigades totaling 4.3 billion hryvnias. An additional 8 billion hryvnias were allocated for financing the Drone Line.
Several days ago, Zelenskyy said Ukraine would review the principle of personnel distribution among brigades. In a November interview with Bloomberg, Zelenskyy reported that Ukraine mobilizes 30,000 people monthly. According to him, international partners and military officials are calling for this figure to be increased.
