Ukraine’s Air Force said Sunday morning that Russia launched 98 attack drones overnight, mostly Shaheds, along with other types from multiple directions. Air defenses shot down or jammed 69 of them, but 27 drones hit 12 locations.
The strikes yet again underscore Russia's continued campaign to terrorize civilian populations through daily aerial assaults, targeting residential areas and critical infrastructure far from the front lines.
Dnipro hit hardest with 15 injured
In Dnipro, 15 people were injured, including an 11-year-old girl. Fires broke out in a high-rise and a private home, and several cars were damaged. Local officials said more than 140 windows were broken in one building alone, and residents have filed dozens of reports about destroyed property.
Shelling and drone strikes also hit several communities in the Synelnykove region, injuring two people and burning three homes. In Nikopol, a woman and two teenagers suffered light injuries after FPV drones and artillery strikes on the city and nearby settlements.

Zaporizhzhia supermarket strike injures six
In Zaporizhzhia, a drone struck a supermarket area late Saturday, injuring six people. Two apartment blocks and many cars were damaged.

Regional authorities said Russian forces carried out more than 870 attacks across the region over the past day, hitting front-line towns with FPV drones, artillery, rockets, and airstrikes.
Earlier on Sunday, officials reported two deaths and eight injuries from attacks across several regions.
4 killed in Kherson region under heavy bombardment
Kherson Oblast again came under heavy fire, with drones, artillery, and airstrikes hitting dozens of towns and villages.
Four people were killed and 11 injured, including a child. Homes and civilian infrastructure were damaged, including apartment blocks, private houses, and a cell tower.
The region remains one of the most heavily targeted areas since Russian forces withdrew from Kherson city in November 2022, with daily shelling from positions across the Dnipro River.
Northern and southern regions struck
In Sumy Oblast, a 45-year-old rescuer was injured during overnight strikes. Fires broke out in several communities, and non-residential buildings and cars were damaged.

Odesa Oblast also faced a drone attack. Most drones were intercepted, but falling debris damaged private homes and caused fires at energy and transport sites. No casualties were reported.

In Kharkiv Oblast, five settlements were hit. Homes and outbuildings were damaged, though no injuries were recorded. Local authorities said Russian forces used several types of drones along with artillery.
