- Edit and publish English-language content (obviously, but it needs to be sharp)
- Help run the show—you'll have real input on where we're heading
- Set and maintain quality standards across all platforms
- Figure out what international audiences actually want to read about Ukraine (not just what we think they should)
- Work with the team and write your own pieces when needed
- Track what works, what doesn't, and adjust accordingly
- Look at our current strategy and ask "how can we do this better?"
- Push us forward—propose new directions, challenge assumptions, help us grow
- Have editing experience (media management is a plus, but ambition matters more)
- Actually understand what's happening in Ukraine and globally
- Ideally have worked in English-language or international media
- Speak fluent English and Ukrainian, based in Ukraine
- Can write, adapt, translate, and edit quickly without losing quality
- Know how to translate meaning across cultures (not just words)
- Get how social media and search engines actually work
- Fact-check reflexively and think critically
- Want to lead and build, not just execute
