Russian night attack on Kyiv injured 53 people, damaged kindergartens, buildings, cars, critical infrastructure

Overnight into 13 December, the Russian military attacked Kyiv with 10 ballistic missiles, injuring 53 people, including 6 children, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said.

Debris from Russian missiles fell across four districts of Kyiv – Dniprovskyi, Desnianskyi, Darnytskyi and Holosiivskyi. According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the Russian massive attack injured 53 people, including 6 children. 20 people, including two children, were hospitalized.

“The eldest injured is 80 years old and the youngest is 5 years old. All of the injured have received medical assistance,” Kyiv’s mayor said.

Russian ballistic missiles directly hit the courtyard of an apartment building. The building and a nearby kindergarten sustained damage. Cars parked in the courtyard caught fire and windows were blown out in nearby buildings and a school.

According to Kyiv City Military Administration, in the Darnytskyi district, the attack damaged a private house over an area of 400 square meters.

In Desnianskyi district, a missile strike damaged the 7th floor of a 9-story residential building and 8 cars in the building’s courtyard.

In Dniprovskyi district, the attack damaged a private house over 2 square meters. Shockwaves blew out windows in two residential buildings. Debris fell onto 3 other private houses. Debris also fell onto a roadway, damaging the water supply system.
