Overnight into December 11th, the Russian military launched 8 missiles on Kyiv, injuring at least 4 people, and damaging residential buildings and private houses, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported.
Debris from the Russian missiles fell in the Darnytskyi district, according to Serhii Popko, head of the Kyiv Military Administration. As a result, a 31-year-old man sustained shrapnel wounds, and three women aged 60, 33, and 31 suffered acute stress reactions.
The air alert was announced in Kyiv after the explosions, which is not the first time this has happened. According to Ukraine’s Air Force spokesman, Yuriy Ihnat, ballistic missiles fly extremely fast. “It takes minutes for Ukraine’s air defense to react and destroy them,” he said.
According to the spokesman, experts are still examining what type of ballistic missiles the Russians used to attack Kyiv last night.
On the night of December 11th, Russians attacked Ukraine with 18 Shahed-136/131 UAVs from the occupied Crimea, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said. The Southern Air Command reportedly shot down all of the drones.
Late in the evening of 10 December, the Russian military also targeted Mykolaiv Oblast with UAVs, Mykolaiv Oblast head Vitaliy Kim said. The debris of the downed drones damaged the premises of agricultural enterprises and agricultural machinery in the Kutsurubska and Snihurivska communities, and private houses in the Ochakivska community.
