EU sends new micro-financial assistance worth over $1,6 million to Ukraine

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has announced a new micro-financial assistance worth over $1,6 million to Ukraine.

"Europe's funding has supported Ukraine's economic stability and public services since the start of Russia’s war. Today we disburse a new €1.5 billion," Ursula von der Leyen wrote on X.

According to the official, the EU support to Ukraine has now reached over $92,5 billion.

"More will come. We have proposed €50 billion for Ukraine until 2027," Leyen added.

The new support will help Ukraine keep public services running, including hospitals, schools, and housing for relocated people. It will also allow Ukraine to ensure macroeconomic stability and restore critical infrastructure destroyed by Russian troops, such as energy infrastructure, water systems, transport networks, roads, and bridges.
