Residents of the small town of Makariv, a town near Kyiv, spent one month under Russian occupation. They witnessed Russian bombings, destruction, and killings. Before the Russian invasion, the town had up to 15,000 inhabitants. Less than a thousand people remain here after the occupation – others fled or were killed.
