During the shooting on February 20 on Instytutska Street in Kyiv, aimed fire came from the building of the National Bank of Ukraine, said Acting General Prosecutor of Ukraine Oleh Makhnitskiy.

“Now we can say that from the National Bank building, a sniper fired rifle shots. Corresponding traces were found there, as well as the barrels of a sniper rifle… This story has been investigated and it is really confirmed.”

Makhnitskiy stated that other stories are also being checked. One of them is that sniper fire came from the Ukraine Hotel on Institutska Street and the House with Chimeras on Bankova Street. “Studies, surveys and expertise are performed at these sites,” said Makhnitskiy.

He also said that the suspects in the criminal investigation into the mass shooting includes the head of the Special Forces of the Crimean territorial Internal Forces, Colonel Serhiy Asavalyuk. “A search for all of the participants in the events that we already know has been initiated,” said Oleh Makhnitskiy.
