“As we say in Odesa…” is the beginning line of many an anecdote.

Odesa, Ukraine’s capital of humour and creativity, since 1972  has been hosting the annual festival of humor, Humorina. For this and other reasons Odesa was known as the “capital of humor” even in the Soviet Union.

Russian-speaking Odesites decide it’s time to tell Putin to go home.

0:45 Hello? Vladimir? Good day to you sir.
0:49 Odesa troubling you
0:52 Just so you know, Vladimir –
0:54 neighbors don’t behave that way even in a communal flat in Odesa
0:58 so flush the toilet, turn off the lights – and go home.
1:03 Go home, Vladimir!
2:31 Vladimir?
2:33 Odesa on the line. I am a doctor, a sexopathologist
2:39 Honestly, I work in hospital #10.
2:43 Vladimir, listen. You’re over 60.
2:46 You ain’t got what it takes for Crimea much less Ukraine.
2:49 Best for you to go home, Vladimir
