US to buy about 150,000 tons of Ukrainian grain in next few weeks for WFP to fight hunger – AP

The United States is going to buy about 150,000 tons of grain from Ukraine in the next few weeks, the World Food Program chief David Beasley has told The Associated Press.

According to him, the final destinations for the Ukrainian grain are not yet confirmed and discussions continue, but David Beasley mentioned several regions in Africa at risk of starvation as possible destinations for the food.
