Christmas Tree in Kyiv Photo: Olena Makarenko

Traditionally, on the Day of Saint Mykolai (Nicholas), which is celebrated on 19 December,  the main Christmas tree in Ukraine was lit up in Kyiv. This year the celebration is accompanied by real winter snow. The colorful tree got caught in the lens of Euromaidan Press (all photos by Olena Makarenko).
