Paskas and Easter convoy for soldiers in Donbas war zone blessed in Kyiv (photo gallery)

Translated by: Christine Chraibi

The Head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Kyiv Patriarchate (UOC-KP) Filaret blessed Easter eggs (krashanky) and paskas (Easter breads) for Ukrainian soldiers currently deployed in the Donbas war zone.  Patriarch Filaret also blessed Easter kits assembled by volunteers. The event was attended by chaplains, volunteers and servicemen.

The same day, Archbishop Agapit Vyshhorodsky also blessed about 10,000 paskas for soldiers and Donbas residents at St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery in Kyiv.
