Although complaints about production termination are heard more than the reports about the launch of new frontiers, Ukrainian industry doesn’t cave in. Foreign investment and loans have become the basis for new businesses. And they aim to reduce the need for imported goods and sell domestic products abroad.

1. Allseeds produces 240 million liters of sunflower oil per year

  • Region: Pivdennyi, Odesa Oblast
  • Opened: June 2015

The new oil-extraction plant LLC Allseeds Black Sea covers 28 hectares, and it processes up to 800,000 tons of sunflower seeds per year. Its grain elevator stores about 46,000 tons. The plant is near the port Pivdennyi in Odesa Oblast – close to where cargo loads on ships. The Allseeds group of companies invested $200 mn in the enterprise and the terminal for transshipment of oil. Foreign investments helped to implement the plant with modern Italian, German, Belgian, and Swiss equipment. An independent Dutch laboratory controls the quality of primary products at the plant.

2. Maize – the first national seed project

  • Region: Zaitseva, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
  • Opened: June 2015

This new seed plant received UAH 100 mn of investments for its construction. German BHF Bank gave the third part of it as a loan under the guarantee of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Plant capacity is one-half to 1 million sowing units – and it is 10-20% of the Ukrainian market needs. It works in two modes: either starts a full standard technological cycle or performs three different operations at the same time with three kinds of seeds. Mais intends to build two more seed plants in different regions of Ukraine.

3. Bio gas plant provides green electricity to 800 households

Photo: spp.com.ua

  • Region: Rakytne, Kyiv Oblast
  • Opened: October 2015

The new biogas plant recycles organic waste and the energy from it goes to heating the local communities and greenhouses. They also plan to deliver ecological fertilizer for agriculture. So far, the plant produces only a fraction of its potential. However, it is already the most powerful biogas plant in Ukraine and one of the most productive for the eastern European countries.

The raw material for the biogas plant is pulp and other organic waste, which produce the gases which are combusted and transformed into electricity. Thus, two types of energy are produced – electric and thermal energy. According to calculations of engineers, 44 cu m of the gas produces 19 MW of electricity and the same amount of thermal energy

4. Interagrosystem is the first in Ukraine to produce fries

  • Region: Mena, Chernihiv Oblast
  • Opened: September 2015

This plant of semi-finished products is a joint Ukrainian-Turkish project. The Ukrainian side invested UAH 48 mn, the foreign partners – EUR 2.5 mn.

Potatoes grow on the company’s fields and Interagrosystem purchases some of the needed amount from local farmers.

The production line operates in three shifts with 50 people involved. 100 more people plant, harvest and sort potatoes.

The plant will process up to 100,000 tons of potatoes per year and provide domestic cafes and restaurants with the semi-finished products for making French fries.

Nowadays Ukraine imports semi-finished products on UAH 50 mn

5. Puratos will export almost half of its production

Photo: dumskaya.net

  • Region: Odesa
  • Opened: 19 May 2016

Puratos International Group invested in a plant EUR 7 mn to produce margarine and dry mixtures for bakeries and confectioneries. 40% of all production goes for export.

The plant operates on environmentally friendly technology, and its equipment is also safe for the environment.

6. Ukrainski Lisopylky processes lumber which they previously exported

Photo: epravda.com.ua

  • Region: Kostopil, Rivne Oblast
  • Opened: April 2016

The plant intends to produce pine-edged boards, which will be subsequently used for carpentry, furniture, and construction materials.

The capacity of the enterprise is 300,000 cu m of industrial wood. It creates 150 jobs per year and attracts EUR 20 mn of investments to the region. Ukrainians, Swedes, and Finns worked on creating this object. This is one of the largest investment projects in the Rivne Oblast in the last 7 years.

7. The Ternopil quarry will reduce Ukraine’s need to import limestone

Photo: businesslife.today

  • Region:  Halushchyntsy, Ternopil Oblast
  • Opened: January 2016

The project took $700,000 to implement.

Before the start of Russia’s aggression in Ukraine, the country produced enough of its own limestone, and there was even an opportunity to export it to Russia, Belarus, and Moldova. After the illegal annexation of Crimea and the hostilities in Donbas, the connection to the quarries on the uncontrolled territories was cut short. Ukrainian companies ceased exports and started procuring limestone in the UAE, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, and Poland. This was a strong incentive for the development of quarries in other regions. One of those which took advantage of the new opportunities is the Ternopil quarry.

8. TM Ondo offers a cheaper replacement for ceramic shingles

  • Region: Ivano-Frankivsk
  • Opened: August 2015

The new plant produces cement-sand shingles. Their cost is 4 times lower than ceramic ones but is 10-20% more expensive than metal shingles.

From US $1 mn investment, 2,000 sq m of production facilities was built and equipment by European company “Vortex Hydra” was purchased. They plan to be at full capacity and produce 250,000 sq m of tiles this year.

9. Japanese quality cables manufactured in Ukraine by Fujikura

Photo: expres.ua

  • Region: Lviv
  • Opened: April 2016

The Japanese company Fujikura Ltd., which manufactures cable networks for European automobile manufacturers, founded Fujikura Automotive Ukraine Lviv in November 2013. The factory specializes cables for Volkswagen automobiles, producing about a million cables per week.

It took UAH 87 mn of foreign investments to build the factory. Thanks to them, a production complex for manufacturing electrical components with a square footage of 7,000 sq m and an administrative building of 1800 sq m were built and 3,000 people were employed.

10. Biofarma will cover 100% of Ukraine’s needs in plasma-derived medicines

Photo: businesslife.today

  • Region: Bila Tserkva, Kyiv Oblast
  • Opened: June 2016

This new biopharmaceutical complex was swiftly built from scratch in 1.3 years thanks to $40 mn of investments from the American company Horizon Capital and Dutch Development Bank FMO. Thanks to this new factory, Ukraine will cover 100% of its domestic needs in plasma-derived medicines such as immunoglobulins, albumin, and Factor VIII.

The German company Linde Engineering designed the plant, and it meets the Good Manufacturing Practice standards mandatory for all EU countries. Another blood plasma processing factory is planned, which will require another $30 mn.

Ukraine is the biggest country in Europe by area (10% larger than continental France) and has some of the best agricultural land plus many educated workers. Once all Soviet-era malpractices are gone, it will be a major economic player and attract plenty more investment.

This is refreshing. At this point I think positive news on Ukraine will get more foreign attention than the regular doom and gloom.

That’s how economic natural selection works.

As of July 1, 2017, the international reserves of Ukraine amounted to USD 17.9 billion.
This was reported by the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine on Wednesday.

“As of July 1, 2017, the international reserves of Ukraine amounted to USD 17.9 billion (in equivalent), according to preliminary data. Thus, the reserves grew by 16% for the first half of 2017. In particular, the growth in June was 2%,” the statement reads.

As noted, the favorable situation on foreign markets allowed the National Bank to continue buying currency to replenish international reserves without creating obstacles to strengthening of the hryvnia.

THE TRUTH ABOUT RUSSIAN MENTALITY is a Doublethinker in its worst form !..

Russians and Russia society is the fox in Aesop’s fable—the fox couldn’t reach the grapes he wanted, so he convinced himself the grapes were sour and he didn’t want them anyway.

    “It’s a psychological ploy,.

They (The Russian populace ) can’t go through life know and thinking the truth thinking and admitting their evil deeds done in history even any facts that brings them down as it crushes their own fantasy about themselves and their idea of Russian delusional greatness, so they find a way to decide they are the victims .”

(it is the west it is CIA it is Ukrainian fantasy Neo Nazis it is NATO it is the banker Jews it is Anti western Russian media propganda it is the USA that wants to dominate Russia ect ect ect ..) (The Fox & the Grapes http://www.read.gov/aesop/005.html )

The truth however is that Russian society and almost all of the kremlin leadership are extreme narcissists and they see themselves as superior in every way to other nations and humans of non Russian decent , and thats why when they see others nations evolve, achieve, prosper and succeed. who they consider inferior to themselves (“anyone non Russian and every other nation ) getting access to the “resource and influence ” (from EU and the West ) that they can’t attain themselves, then Russia and the Russians get angry and nasty like all psychotic nations and people do. The Russian inferiority complexes (that they will never admit to ) hits in on overlap speed..

And why do they act this way you ask ——

Will they feel unjustly wronged and cheated by INFERIOR western nations , and think that those people and nations (like Ukraine and the Baltic’s and all other Eastern European nations ) are making a mistake by passing up the superior Russian way of life that is in their view obviously superior to the west and what the Kremlin has of offerings to those nations should be accepted and agreed to without question..

After all why will they say NO to superior Mother Russia, how dare they say NO to Russia’s superior culture and good old hegemony control…

And why are those (Eastern European Nation ) so cheeky and ungrateful that they dare say yes to some substandard and inferior western culture and democracy, those idiot nation that say NO to Russia don’t know their own best interest, after all Mother Russia is superior —

You can see this hurt little boy mentality of the Russian psyche and how it manifests itself on the internet in Russian Otherdox religious dogmatism and Russian nationalism,.. You will frequently find posts and read hatred of anything western (USA , EU , NATO , Ukraine , Baltic’ ect ect ) and it easy to find on blogs Russians outrage at the fact that Ukraine and other Eastern European Nations dose not want to have anything to do with the Russian world or the kremlins soveticus version of history (apparently the Russians never realizing the contradiction of those sentiments they make online ).

Russians are often saying things like… One day USA and the West will realize our true strength and we will show them our true numbers, and we will overthrow this oppressive western values system. So the west will FEAR RUSSIAN GREATNESS AND POWER ”

“If you listen to Russian TV and the Kremlin media the Russian world is in uprise and the revolution has already begun!

You will hear things like… We will overthrow all the USA laky Ukrainian traitors in Kyiv (meaning any Ukrainian that does not follow the Moscow line and except Russian heganony of Ukraine ) and overthrow the evil fifth column and western democratic control of the world (UN) ! All hail the Supreme leadership of Russia Russia Vladimir Vladimirovitsj Putin ..

Russians and the Russian nation/ government, push this anti western propaganda to compensate their own insecurities , frustration and anger, because their psychotic self-belief of Russian Greatness is NOT getting the validation they think they are rightfully due to them, as they feel overlooked in the world stage they feel their national uniqueness and superiority over others is unjustly overlooked and they believe they in-fact have it not being justly recognized as the cool kid in the playground —

Russians are now taking to the internet and it has become the Kremlins Russosphere, for angry disappointed soviet nostalgia Russians, that are thinking they are not getting their fare share of respect from the other boys and girls in the classroom of world geopolitics and for what they (the Kremlin / Russians ) see as their historical refuel place at the table of historical greatness of the world …

Those Ex Soviets losers Russians (and their descendants ) have a massive chip on the shoulders and just can not come to terms with the fall of the USSR … The kremlins internet troll army are now teaming up online (all over the world) with expat Russians in the hope it will bring down the west (USA , EU, NATO ) and with all type of anti establishment nut jobs (in the west ) on both spectrum of the political fields, leftwing marxist and fare rights extremists groups are coming together with the Russians internet troll army of online warriors in their common goal of bringing down western democracy and the West, of course with each other pushing their own private agenda as my enemy’s enemy is my friend when it suits my end goals .

“One of the central beliefs of the disillusioned Russians are that the west and the UN have given the USA and EU to much power in the world stage , in int. politics, in the banking system —and it all needs to be destroyed; (this idea gets pushed online by kremlin propaganda news all the time)

The vast majority of Russians in the Russosphere area are SOVIETICUS Russians that see god old words like glasnost og perestrojka as the evil idea of the west.. not only do they hate the west for the fall of the USSR (AS IT IS NEVER THIER OWN FAULT) ; they hate democracy and blame democratic values like freedom of speech , human rights ect ect for the fall and dismantled of the so called Russian world (Soviet Union ) and for almost anything else and for virtually everything and every problem Russia and Russians themselves have or ever has had and anything they don’t like about their own loved Russias situation today.. (their problems is never the fault of their own making how can it be, they and Russia after all are superior to the west )

The typical Sovieticus Russian is a Doublethinker in its worst form…

Doublethinking is the act of simultaneously accepting two mutually contradictory beliefs as correct, often in some social contexts, like say ones nations history, beliefs, and Myths are true even if they contradict ect ect ..

Let look at an exs…. The Russians know Stalin was evil and that evil is bad, also they know that KGB Putin is a potensial new Stalin but they still like, love, support and admire Stalin and KGB Putins evil acts… But at the same time do not see or even accept that supporting the act of evil men and their acts and lies is the same as supporting evil..

Another exs. Most if not all Russians, will agree (with everyone else) that support of evil man like Hitler is the same as supporting his evil acts.. like say supporting and / or trying to whitewash Hitlers acts of evil (holocaust Genocide) will be the same as supporting and whitewash evil ..

But the typical Russian will not agree if you take out the word HOLOCAUST and put in the world HOLODOMOR and take out the name HITLER and put in STALIN into that same sentence above…And the Russians, know very well that Stalin was guilty of massive genocide just like Hitler …… So acts of Stalin good and act of Hitler bad .. even if they are the same type of evil acts and the same type of crimes …

You see Russians are Doublethinkers in its worst form…

Doublethinking is related to, but differs from, hypocrisy and neutrality.

Also related is cognitive dissonance, in which contradictory beliefs cause conflict in one’s mind. Doublethink is notable due to a lack of cognitive dissonance — thus the person is completely unaware of any conflict or contradiction.

Russians clearly show the sovieticus mentality as they are doublethinkers it is a feature of Soviet-style totalitarianism, as reflected in this statement from a speech by Joseph Stalin:

We are for the withering away of the state, and at the same time we stand for the strengthening of the dictatorship of the proletariat, which represents the most powerful and mighty of all forms of the state which have existed up to the present day. The highest development of the power of the state, with the object of preparing the conditions of the withering away of the state: that is the Marxist formula. Is it “contradictory”? Yes, it is “contradictory.” But this contradiction is a living thing and wholly reflects the Marxist dialectic….

Economy is going UP and unemployment is going down

In 2009, Ukraine’s GDP declined 15 percent as a result of the global financial crisis, and it remained stagnant or declining through 2015.

But through an infusion of USD 25 billion in global support and leaders’ efforts to make serious fiscal adjustments, restructure its debt, reform its energy sector, and get control of its banking system, Ukraine is seeing a 1.5 percent GDP growth saw in 2016 and another 2% in 2017 this year we will see a growth of 2,5 % .

There has also been an increase in local currency deposits, inflation is dropping, lending rates are gradually being reduced, and credit has been expanded.

    That’s gotta hurt !

Norway overtakes Russia as Europe’s biggest gas supplier https://www.rt.com/business/norway-eu-russia-gas-supplier-256/

Russia lost its position as the main supplier of gas to EU last year as Gazprom exports fell by 10% knocked down by coal and high prices. Norway’s gas pricing is not pegged to oil and are therefore lower. Imports from Norway rose 12%, became the first year when Norway sold more gas to the EU than Russia, At the same time, Norway’s share increased to 38 percent in the past year.

Norway exported 29.5 billion cubic metres (bcm) to western Europe in the first quarter of this year, figures from Norwegian state operator shows, while Russia sold only 19.8 bcm, according to data from Gazprom officials.

The data showed the trend began in the final quarter when western Europe bought 29.5 billion bcm from Norway and 19.8 bcm from Russia, according to Gassco and Gazprom respectively.

Norway is the world’s third-largest natural gas exporter Norway supplied 21% of total European natural gas needs. Norway’s natural gas reaches the Continent mainly via its extensive export pipeline infrastructure while a small fraction is exported as liquefied natural gas (LNG) by tanker.

The largest recipients of Norway’s natural gas exports in 2013 were the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
