On the Day of Saint Mykolai (Nicholas), which is celebrated on 19 December, the main Christmas tree in Ukraine was lit up in Kyiv. It has 42,000 lights and 1,000 garlands. The Christmas city is set up on the two nearest squares and will be stand until January 15. Euromaidan Press took pictures for you so that you also can feel the atmosphere of Christmas Kyiv (all photos by Olena Makarenko).
