Akhmed Zakaev, leader of the Chechen government in exile, believes Chechen jihadists in ISIS ranks were sent there by Putin to serve Russian interests in Syria.

The government of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria expresses its solidarity with the people of France and expresses their sincere condolences to the families and friends of those killed and injured in the terrorist attack.

Chechen Government in Exile, led by Akhmed Zakaev, also known as the secularist wing, has been claiming to be the sole and legal successor to legendary Dzokhar Dudayev, deceased leader of Chechen War of Independence and first president of Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.

According to the announcement by the Chechen Center, the main portal of secularist Chechens who oppose both Putin-backed Kadyrov and so-called Caucasian Emirate, Akhmed Zakaev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers at the government-in-exile of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, condemns the Paris attacks and claims Russian Federation is responsible for it. Zakaev states that the Russian Federation created the Jihadist-Extremist Caucasian Emirate itself, in order to undermine the Chechen resistance and justify the Chechen genocide.

Zakaev believes Chechen jihadists in ISIS ranks are sent by Putin, after they performed their duty in Chechenia, now to serve Russian interests in Syria. Just as extremists in Chechnia caused discontent and qualms about righteous Chechen resistance, those extremists in Syria undermine the international support for the Syrian opposition and gives Russia an excuse to intervene.

The Government in Exile, therefore, made an appeal to G20 leaders to resist Putin’s ambitions and urged them to realize that Putin is the main and global sponsor of terrorism. To secure the future of the civilized world, Zakaev warned G20 leaders not to give in to Putin’s demands.
