On 25 October 2015, Ukrainians will be taking part in local elections. 51% of Donbas local communities will not be participating. In 35%, elections were not appointed because the territory is under control of Russian-hybrid forces (purple on the map). In 16%, elections were deemed impossible to conduct, despite being on Ukrainian-controlled territory (yellow on the map), according to Ukraine’s Central Election Commission.

The map also shows the delineation line of the officially recognized temporarily occupied territories (by the resolution of Verkhovna Rada, No.252-VIII of 17.03.2015).
