February 23: UN peacekeeping mission to Ukraine is possible – said German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier

Le 23 février – “La Russie n’a pas su instaurer la trêve après les accords de Minsk-2, alors nous devons envisager des sanctions plus lourdes et la livraison d’armes à l’Ukraine.” a déclaré l’eurodéputé Jacek Saryusz-Wolski “Bruxelles doit comprendre qu’il est temps d’imposer plus de sanctions et d’autres mesures contre la Russie. Il s’agit de livrer des armes de haute technologie à l’Ukraine – des missiles de précision, des missiles anti-char, de l’équipement anti-aérien, des armes que possèdent principalement les Français, les Britanniques et les Américains.” Le 23 février – “Si les accords de Minsk ne sont pas respectés, nous risquons de voir la déstabilisation d’autres régions en Ukraine.” – déclaration du ministre des Affaires étrangères de la Roumanie, Bogdan Aurescu. Il fait surtout référence aux régions voisines de la Roumanie – la Bessarabie, la Bucovine et la Transcarpatie. Le 23 février – “Le gouvernement fédéral de l’Allemagne s’inquiète que le cessez-le-feu ne soit pas respecté.” a déclaré le porte-parole du gouvernement allemand, Steffen Seibert. Le 23 février – “Il est possible d’organiser une mission de maintien de la paix des Nations Unies en Ukraine, mais c’est une question de temps.” a déclaré le ministre allemand des Affaires étrangères Frank-Walter Steinmeier dans une interview au magazine Bild. Miller related to Shefchovych the new position under consideration by the Russian side: the Ukrainian transit route will be transferred to Turkey and Europe should hurry to build appropritae gas transportable pipes in order to receive this gas in a new location which will be the point of release and delivery of the gas on the border of Turkey and Greece. Miller again affirmed that the project "Southern Stream" is closed. "The Gas flow Turkish Stream is the only route through which one can deliver 63 million cubic meters of Russian gas which are untill now still being transited through Ukraine. There are no other possibilities. Our European partners are informed about this and now their task is to create a necessary gas-transportation infrastructure from the border of Turkey and Greece," he stated.

    Shefrovych in his turn stated that the decision of Gasprom evokes a reaction of surprise on the part of the ound outEurocommission: "Today we discovered that that gas which is transported through Ukraine – that amount will re-directed through a new pipe system. This concerns relatively large quantities of gas, which, certainly, are not needed neither in Turkey, nor in countries of South-Easter Europe," he told the journalists.

    January 19: Two battalion task forces of the Russian Federation have crossed Ukrainian-Russian border

    January 19 – 3 Ukrainian military were killed and 66 were wounded in the ATO area in the last 24 hours, – informed NSDC spokesman Andriy Lysenko.

    January 19 – The representatives of the United States Army Command will visit Ukraine this week, – informed the spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladyslav Seleznyov. According to Seleznyov, they intend to assess the situation in eastern Ukraine, as well as discuss assistance required by Ukrainian Armed Forces.

    January 19 – Ukraine and Poland have agreed to construct a new gas pipeline on their border – said Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk after a meeting with Prime Minister of Poland Ewa Kopacz.
