February 17: Pro-Russian separatists have seized parts of Debaltseve from government troops

February 17 – Cabinet of Ministers states about the destruction of 20% of the economic potential of Ukraine as a result of the conflict in Donbas. Relevant data are presented in the report on the losses and damage suffered by Ukraine from Russian aggression, named as “The Black Book of Kremlin.” On the whole, the war, carried out by Putin against Ukraine, has by today destroyed almost 20% of our current economic potential, including the approximate revenue and money flow. In particular, the budget did not receive close to 23 milliard UAH due to the occupation of Donbas and Crimea. The fighters destroyed 1.4 thousand of objects of railroad infra-structure and 1.5 thousand kilometers of automobile roads. There have been more than 9,000 living quarters destroyed. The overall amount of destruction amounts to 1 milliard UAH. According to previous calculations, Ukraine, due to the Russian aggression will not annually receive close to 3% GDP from agricultural entities.     January 26 – Russia has begun using its military aviation near the border with Ukraine more often, – informed Deputy Head of Information and Analytical Center of the National Security and Defense Council Volodymyr Polyovyi. Aviation is needed only if Russia plans for a large-scale offensive.

Moscow curators of "People's Republic of Donetsk" and "People's Republic of Luhansk" have observed the inability of these groups to withstand organized actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, decided to strengthen these groups with regular Russian troops.

    January 27: Russian government is focusing on internal holdings, including 400 billion dollars, but they only exist on paper

    January 27 – 9 Ukrainian military were killed and 30 injured in the ATO area in the last 24 hours, – informed the NSDC spokesman Andriy Lysenko.

    January 27 – Armed Forces of Ukraine have conducted a special operation, which resulted in destroyed military aircraft and combat helicopters of Russian terrorists in Ukraine, stated acting head of the press center of the General Staff Vladyslav Seleznyov.

    January 27 – Russian government is focusing on internal holdings, including 400 billion dollars, but they only exist on paper, – said former Deputy Energy Minister of Russia Vladimir Milov in his interview for "Ekonomichna Pravda". "Holdings exist only on paper. Frankly, the issue here is not even what will happen to the economy. The issue is how the society will respond, because people have gotten used to constant growth in the last 15 years. Society was "lulled" by people who managed the economy and ensured the growth, – said Milov.
