January 17 – Buses and self-load trucks will not be allowed to travel to/from areas of the so called Luhansk People’s Republic and the areas of Luhansk oblast in unoccupied Ukraine starting January 19th, – stated the Head of Luhansk Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal. “The prohibition comes as a result of a worsening military situation and constant shelling of our territory by the terrorists, which leads to deaths among civilians”.

Fierce battle was taking place at Donetsk airport thought the day. ATO forces have made their way to the defenders of Donetsk airport and started evacuating the wounded (firstly, they are evacuating those who have been heavily wounded). 23 wounded Ukrainian military and the bodies of 3 military were evacuated from Donetsk airport. The terrorists are intensively shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops located in the villages near the airport.
