January 15: Russian terrorists have significantly intensified their attacks on Ukrainian army

January 15 – 2 Ukrainian military have died, another 6 have been wounded as a result of shelling by Russian military terrorists in the last 24 hours, – informed NSDC spokesman Andriy Lysenko. Terrorists have carried out 129 attacks, a record number in the new year. 35 villages/towns were shelled. January 15 – Over 3 thousand militants were trained for ongoing war in Donbas in Crimea (occupied by Russia) and Rostov-on-Don, – said the founder of the “Information resistance” group and Ukrainian MP Dmytro Tymchuk. January 15 – “A growing number of Russian soldiers have been spotted in Horlivka, Snizhne, and Krasnodon. They are not only involved in operations against ATO forces but also train local residents how to become militants”, – informed NSDC spokesman Andriy Lysenko. January 15 – During the day the terrorists were continuously attacking Donetsk airport from heavy artillery. Ukrainian army provided artillery support to those defending the airport. Throughout the day they continuously shelled Yenakiyeve and Donetsk – there are victims among civilians. January 15 – There has been a sharp increase in the number of Russian military vehicles/equipment. In recent days large quantities of ammunition for “Grad” multiple rocket launchers, howitzers and other weapons have arrived from Russia. Someone is perhaps preparing for a massive offensive or grounds for Astana negotiations. January 15 – NATO member-states have expressed their readiness to help Ukraine in fighting terrorism, – said Patrick Auroy, Assistant Secretary General for Defence Investment. “It was emphasized that in these very difficult times for Ukraine, all 28 NATO member-states are supporting military and technology cooperation with Ukraine. We understand the need to contribute to the fight against terrorism”, – he said. Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko made a speech during the trial in Moscow. "Deceitful bastards from the Investigative Committee are keeping me here illegally and are forcing me to starve", – she said.

    February 25 – Ukrainian hryvnia has slightly strengthened after its dramatic decrease in value on Monday-Tuesday. The Government and the National Bank have limited the purchase of foreign currency and introduced a number of restrictions that eased the "currency rush". National Bank Chairman and Finance Minister have held a press conference and described the steps that will be taken. The Ministry of Finance does not intend to review the average exchange rate of hryvnia (21.7 UAH to 1 USD), which was used to prepare the amendments to 2015 state budget.
