Der [selbst ernannte] Ministerpräsident der Krim, Sergej Aksjonow, äußerte sich laut der Zeitung Kommersant: “Aus juristischer Sicht gibt es für mich keine solche Organisation. Welcher Medschlis? Die Organisation wurde nicht ordnungsgemäß registriert. So etwas [wie der Medschlis] existiert nicht” sagte Aksjonow.

Darüber hinaus habe der Medschlis des Krimtatarischen Volkes “keine Autorität über die Krimtataren, da nicht mehr als 20 Prozent der Krimtataren den Meschlis unterstützen, außerdem habe der Medschlis seit 1991 versäumt, die vorgeschlagenen Programme in der Ukraine zu implementieren.”
