Poroshenko calls for a coalition to be formed before the parliamentary elections

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko calls for democratic powers to unite in a coalition before the Verkhovna Rada elections. He stated this at the assembly of his party, Solidarnist, which is to be renamed Petro Poroshenko’s Block.

“It is best for them to win having united before the elections – a single political block, Petro Poroshenko’s Block and all democratic powers. If someone disagrees with such an electoral model, it is necessary to sign a declaration of unification into a coalition after the victory in the parliamentary elections,” noted Poroshenko.

According to the President, the members of the new Parliament should be known before the elections.

Early parliamentary elections in Ukraine will be held on October 26.
